Have an idea for a custom brick-built mech? DrippyBricks offers professional custom design services for collectors and builders looking for something created specifically for them.
Most custom builds range from $250–$800+ depending on size and complexity.
Custom pricing includes original model design, playtesting, building instructions, parts sourcing, physical pieces, revisions, packaging and shipping.
Mechs are our specialty and the primary type of custom project we accept. Other types of brick-built models may be considered depending on the concept, complexity, and current availability. Every accepted project is individually designed in BrickLink Studio and developed with buildability, stability, appearance, and the customer's goals in mind.

Custom design pricing is based on the actual design work required to create your model, not simply its final piece count.

Before paid work begins, you'll receive a project estimate based on the scope of your request.
If the project begins approaching or exceeding the approved estimate, we will contact you before performing substantial additional work.
PARTS & PHYSICAL SET COST
Design labor and physical brick costs are separate.
After the design has been completed, the final model inventory will be used to determine the cost of the bricks required to produce your physical set.
Because every custom model uses a different combination of elements, colors, quantities, and specialty parts, an exact brick cost cannot reliably be determined before the design exists.
Your final physical-set price may therefore include:
Design Labor + Brick/Part Cost + Applicable Shipping
You will be provided with the applicable physical-set cost before the final set is produced and shipped.
$200 CUSTOM PROJECT DEPOSIT
Accepted custom projects require a $200 deposit before design work begins.
The deposit is applied toward your design charges—it is not an additional fee on top of your design total.
For example, if your completed design labor totals $500, the $200 deposit is credited toward that amount and $300 in remaining design labor would be due.
If you cancel after work has begun, the value of work already completed will be deducted from the deposit at the applicable hourly rate.
Any remaining refundable portion of the deposit will be handled according to our Refund Policy.
If completed work equals or exceeds the deposit at the time of cancellation, some or all of the deposit may be retained.
HOW THE PROCESS WORKS
1 — SUBMIT YOUR IDEA
Complete the Custom Set Request form below and tell us what you want created.
Reference images are strongly encouraged.
2 — PROJECT REVIEW
We'll review the concept for feasibility, complexity, expected size, functionality, and whether it fits the type of work DrippyBricks currently accepts.
Not every request can be accepted.
3 — ESTIMATE & APPROVAL
If your project is a good fit, we'll discuss the project scope and provide an estimated design-time range.
You'll know the applicable hourly rate and expected scope before committing to the project.
4 — $200 DEPOSIT
Once the project is approved, the $200 custom-project deposit secures the project and allows design work to begin.
5 — DESIGN
Your model is created digitally in BrickLink Studio.
Depending on the project, we may communicate with you during development regarding important design decisions or necessary changes.
6 — FINAL REVIEW
Once the design is complete, you'll be shown the finished model and provided with the final design-labor total.
7 — PARTS & PRODUCTION
The completed model inventory is used to calculate the physical brick cost.
Once applicable balances are paid, the parts can be sourced and the custom set prepared for you.
8 — YOUR SET IS PREPARED & SHIPPED
The physical set is checked, organized, packaged, and shipped to you according to our Shipping Policy.
IMPORTANT DESIGN LIMITATIONS
DrippyBricks prioritizes buildability, stability, functionality, and display quality.
Some concepts may not translate perfectly into a physical brick-built model.
We may recommend changes to proportions, mechanisms, articulation, transformation sequences, colors, or other features when necessary to create a model that can reasonably function as a physical build.
Requests may be declined when we believe the desired design cannot reasonably be produced to an acceptable standard.
